Google Doodles -

Google Doodles are special, temporary and spontaneous changes that are made to the Google logo on Google's homepage, for celebration of holidays, anniversaries and the lives of famous artists, achievements, pioneers, people and scientists who have helped shape history.

History of Doodle

In 1998 Google’s founders, Larry and Sergey, placed a stick figure drawing behind the second ‘o’ in the word Google as a message to users that they were "out of the office" attending a music and art festival. Everyone liked the temporary change in Google's Logo, and from there the idea of decorating the Google logo or Google Doodle was born. The first Google Doodle was Burning Man Festival Doodle in August 30, 1998. Initially the google doodle were simply images i.e. no animation. The first animated Doodle Sir Isaac Newton's 367th Birthday was posted on January 4, 2010 for honoring Issac Newton. Now sometimes Hyperlinks are also added on the Google Doodle, like in Pac-man Doodle.

Google team has created over 2000 doodles for Google homepages around the world.
