While upgrading or flashing new Stock ROM or Custom ROM to your phone , you can get into 'not connecting' or any other issue. And you will not be able to flash new ROM into your phone...it's frustrating.
I will tell you about how to solve 'not connecting issue' in Micromax Canvas phones.
First you should check, if you have installed all the drivers and tools for Flashing the new ROM. See below for the Required things for Flashing.
Requirements to Flash ROM :-
- Micromax Canvas Phone
- Micromax Drivers ( PdaNet , Mobistel Cynus )
- ROM ....that you want to Flash.
- SP Flashing Tool
Instructions to flash :
- Download the Stock Rom File and SP Flash Tools.
- Extract the contents of the Stock Rom and SP Flash Tool.
- Install the Drivers downloaded from above, if already installed proceed to next step.
- Run Flash Tool.exe file with Administrator Rights (Right click and Run as Administrator)
- When Flash tool open you'll see 5 file options, click the "scatter loading file" and point towards the location where you extracted the ROM file..
- Select the "MT6589_Android_scatter_emmc.txt" file.
- Then Check the option "DA DL All with Checksum" in Flashing Tool.
- Shut Down your Device.
- After this, Press the Download button on SP Flash Tool running....
- Flash Tool will then Start Looking for attached devices, just then connect your device with your PC/Laptop with USB cable . When it connects you'll see Red bar Finishes followed by a purple bar.... Yellow bar will show your overall progress of writing.... ( If your PC/Laptop is not detecting your device or it starts charging, then remove the battery of your Canvas phone and then plug in to your PC while SP Flash Tool Status is searching . . )
- A Green Circle with OK will be displayed to confirm the successful Flashing of ROM.
- That's it....
- You just Flashed new ROM in your Device.
- Now just Turn ON your Canvas phone....
If you followed the above procedure, but still your device is not connecting and you are getting 'installing drivers' then it turns into 'MT65XX preloader error'. Then try the below steps...
- First download the driver file and extract it. (Click here to Download)
- Then open Device Manager from control panal and switch off your phone and connect it to PC/Laptop via cable, for some moment you will see "MT65XX Preloader" in the Device Manager.
- Quickly, right click on it and click on update driver and choose from local directory and browse your extracted folder .
- Windows will prompt for driver installation .... click yes.
- After sucessful driver installation you can proceed to SP flash tool. It will detect your device.
